Neuro Leadership – The SCARF model

The key to change management lies in understanding how the social brain works, our needs in relation to each other, how we can help ourselves and others by maximizing rewards and minimizing threats, and how we can make things better when the threat system has been activated. When Dr. David Rock at the Neuro Leadership Institute in New York studied the social brain, he could identify five social experience areas which the brain treats similarly to survival issues. Each area of experience stands for a social need which triggers reward or threat affect’s that steer our behavior. Based upon his discoveries, he has created the SCARF model, one which can be very useful to us.
We offer lectures and workshops on the SCARF model
